Málaga CF and the Public Cueva de Nerja Foundation have renewed their partnership for the 2026/27 season, marking the third consecutive year of this alliance. The agreement was signed with the club delegation led by judicial administrator José María Muñoz and general manager Kike Pérez, who welcomed the Foundation’s president Javier Salas, first vice‑president and mayor of Nerja José Alberto Armijo, and Málaga provincial councillor Nieves Atencia, representing Francisco Salado, second vice‑president and president of the Provincial Council. The meeting took place at La Rosaleda to commemorate the partnership between the two organisations.
The pre‑match shirt, worn by Málaga CF players during warm‑ups before fixtures, will again feature the Cueva de Nerja logo. This design has been part of the kit since the 2024/25 season and will remain visible in the upcoming campaign. The logo’s presence not only reinforces the club’s identity but also highlights the cave’s significance as a cultural and tourist attraction in the province.
The agreement includes a range of joint initiatives. These include an upcoming visit by Málaga CF players and Foundation representatives to the Cueva de Nerja, as well as continued support from the Foundation for Málaga Genuine, the team run by the club’s Foundation. These actions aim to strengthen the link between sport and local culture, extending the reach of both parties beyond the sporting arena.
For Málaga CF, the partnership with Cueva de Nerja represents an opportunity to consolidate its bond with one of the province’s leading attractions. The collaboration serves as a platform to promote Málaga’s heritage, culture and tourism, reinforcing the club’s image as a driver of local development.
With the return of Cueva de Nerja to the pre‑match shirt, Málaga CF reaffirms its commitment to the community and the promotion of regional identity, while preparing to compete in Spain’s top flight.
