Midfielder Juan Cruz made no secret of his desire to play in Primera with Málaga. "I always wanted to take on this challenge with the team that gave me so much joy in the promotion race," Cruz stated. The club, for its part, highlights Cruz's versatility as a key asset for the new squad.
Fernando Calero: from youth team to Primera reinforcement
Fernando Calero did not hide his recent interest in the team's performances. "I've watched several matches and liked what I saw from Málaga," the defender explained. His top-flight experience, gained at Espanyol, will be crucial for the Málaga CF-based project.
Málaga CF now face a dual challenge: securing their place in the top tier and preparing for pre-season action. The team will travel to Algeciras on Saturday to face Leicester City in their first pre-season friendly.
