Málaga CF's pre-season enters a crucial week. The team needs to make room in the squad before closing the last summer reinforcements. Every minute will count for a team that aims to strengthen several positions.

The first test will arrive this Thursday at 19.00 hours against Al-Arabi SC at the Marbella Football Center. Just a day later, on Friday at 19.00 hours, Málaga will visit the Alfonso Murube stadium to face AD Ceuta of José Juan Romero.

The participation of each player could be an important indicator of the role they can play during the season. The incorporation of Salinas has raised the number of professional players occupied in the first team to 26, in addition to those of Aaron Ochoa and Rafita, who can have a filial jersey if they do not reach 23 years old next season.

The sports management is working with the idea of strengthening several positions and, unless there is a change of plans, they aim to incorporate a couple of moves that could arrive in the pivot, the central position, a creative midfielder and in the last days another possible left-back.

The focus is on several possible exits. Although the club maintains maximum discretion, several names have appeared in the last weeks around a possible exit. Moussa, Haitam and Julen Lobete are among the players whose future has generated more uncertainty, while it has also gained strength the possibility that Juanpe could leave La Rosaleda for Gamba Osaka Japanese.

None of these operations is closed, but the lack of protagonism in the next friendly matches could be interpreted as a clue about the intentions of the technical body. In the same way, a convincing performance could change the scenario for some of them and delay any definitive decision.
