Málaga CF could receive money this summer without making a single move. In fact, it would come from Sevilla through Joaquín Martínez, 'Oso'.

What happened?

The Spanish-Argentine player played for Málaga CF's academy for several seasons and his departure from Sevilla could leave 350,000 euros -if he leaves through his clause- thanks to FIFA's solidarity mechanisms.

Oso is one of the big names in the Sevilla market. He debuted in December 2025 with Matías Almeida this last season and became a key player in the plans of Luis García.

Why is it important for Málaga CF?

Sevilla is bound by a 20 million euro clause if any club wants to sign him, and that's where Málaga CF comes in. The Martiricos entity is entitled to 1.75% of the final transfer.

What's next?

Sevilla's economic situation is what it is, and they need an important sale to balance the books and go for a striker. Nottingham Forest is now the most likely to sign Oso, which would facilitate Sevilla's search for a striker.
