Málaga CF unveiled four new signings for the season on Thursday: Adam Aznou, Juan Berrocal, Jens Cajuste and Pablo Martínez. The joint presentation event at La Rosaleda stadium, as reported by Marca, allowed the players to express their confidence in the club's project and their quick integration into the squad.

The four reinforcements arrive at a key moment, with the team preparing for their next home fixture against Athletic Club on November 29th, as detailed on our fixtures page. The addition of these players aims to bring solidity and youth to a squad facing the season's challenges with ambition.

How have the new signings adapted?

All four players agreed on feeling integrated from the very start. Jens Cajuste, a Swedish-born midfielder, admitted he does not yet speak Spanish, but his feeling was one of immediate familiarity. "Although I don't speak Spanish, I called my parents and told them it feels like I've been here a week already." stated Cajuste, who also highlighted the group's unity.

Adam Aznou, a young academy product from Barcelona, was particularly enthusiastic about the profile of the dressing room. The forward said the youth and average age of the Málaga dressing room suits him perfectly. Aznou completed pre-season with Everton and assured he is at 100%, with La Liga experience from his time at Valladolid, and ready to help the team in whatever the coach needs.

What attracted the players to Málaga's project?

For Pablo Martínez, who previously debuted at the Bernabéu against Real Madrid, the decision to join Málaga CF was influenced by calls from sporting director Loren Juarros and player Funes. Martínez explained that the project itself was what attracted him most, after hearing Juarros explain the club's model. He described the group as full of excitement and ambition, willing to work hard, and with a strong presence of homegrown players.

Juan Berrocal, a central defender from Jerez, sees a desire from 2021 finally fulfilled. His agent mentioned the possibility and he didn't hesitate. "It was a priority for me," said Berrocal, who also valued the proximity to his home. The player arrives after a spell at Getafe where he had no chances to compete, but he assured he trained at the maximum level to be ready for his opportunity, already getting to know the coach's ideas.

What do they bring to the team for the future?

The arrival of these four players strengthens different areas of the team. Berrocal brings defensive solidity, Cajuste dynamism in midfield, Martínez experience and versatility, and Aznou freshness and goal threat up front. Their incorporation coincides with the start of an important phase of the season, where every point will be decisive in the fight for the club's objectives.
